During this walk, the aperitif, first course and main course
are served in different restaurants. During the walk from
one restaurant to the other, the guides tell you stories
and legends about the history of Antwerp. This way you will
be introduced to the cultural as well as the culinary side
of Antwerp.
| APERITIF |
The aperitif will be served in a typical Antwerp café.
Do try a "Bolleke the Koninck"!!
|
Following restaurants participate
in the walk
|
|
Via Via
The classical French cuisine in a Roman atmosphere.
This has to be Via Via. For 3 years now, this restaurant
is part of the vast norms of the Antwerp
|
|
 |
De Zeven Schaken
This restaurant is located centrally in the old part
of Antwerp, on one of the corners of the market place.
This café/restaurant breathes out the atmosphere
of an old French Bistro.
The food is typically Belgian, meaning Burgundy style.
The portions are impressive. |
|
 |
Bassin
A French bistro in the old state police station next
to the pilotage. This location served as set of the
Flemish television serial “Langs de kade”.
The docks’ atmosphere in the bistro is a copy
of the famous New York Hotel in Rotterdam. Only difference
is that you do not have to take a boat to get there.

Dock’s Café
Industrial Baroque" is the best way to describe
the visual wealth of the Dock’s Café.
Nothing but precious metals have been used in the
decor; bronze and copper provide a beautiful green-reddish
sheen; the delicate tones of the mahogany, the Latin-inspired
mosaic on the granite floor, the rivets in the sheet
iron or the warm red-coloured velvet, they all exude
quality and good taste.
The Dock’s Café cuisine serves classic
French-Italian food, with a contemporary approach.
Quality is everything: everything is prepared in our
own kitchen and only the freshest products are used.

DESSERT
Foyer
This theatre, in which the brasserie “the Foyer”
is situated on the first floor, was designed in 1827.
The majestic building is a unique witness of the late
classicistic monumental architecture
